Hi,
im currently using aqausonic test kits to test my hardness in the water and sometimes find it hard to work out what my actual reading is at the end. what brands do people use and how do they find them to use. Anyone using aquasonic hardness test kits??. Cheers Axl

The Sera kH test kit is pretty easy. You just add one drop at a time until the sample changes colour from blue to yellow...the number of drops is your kH.

I use a brand called API - it's in a light green/aqua box. I find it very easy to read. I got a PH test kit in the same brand, but at times find it a bit difficult to read.

I need to get a ammonia and nitrate (or was it nitrite - I always forget) - anyone like a certain brand in particular ?
