plantgeek lists it as Hygrophila corymbosa
http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_viewer.php?id=134
but blue stricta has a larger broader leaf, but looks very similar. but on the downside it sends roots out everywhere up the stems. both plants grow like crazy...

Thanks fish_R I'm after a fast grower for my new setup, just while the ech's grow in, i used to use hydrophilla difformis but my wife hates the look of it, she likes the giant hydro and the blue strictica, will use them as sponge plants as the tank grows in (all i need now is bout 15 bunches of the stuff :D ).

thanks again

no probs m8.
i used them both when i first setup my 5 footer too, they do a good job at keeping the algae at bay, but be prepared to do lots of trimming :)
