OK I'm running out of what to automate and monitor on my aquarium so I thought I will connect my 24VDC perastaltic (Spelling !) pump to dose some ferts.. I have a suitable controller and purchased the pump 18 months ago. I can dose something like ~30 mls each time, maybe every day or every second day.

OK now needing some suggestions: Planning on using a 2 litre bottle which should last a couple of months.

I may have to add distilled water to water down the mix as I can only pump >=30 ml a time for each dose.

Fert mix cannot settle out...ie I do not want to shake the bottle every day !

I have noticed Sera florena does not seem to settle out. however expensive

Any idea's for a basic fert mix that doesn't settle. Wanted a week mix and as its on a timed dosing basis. I will be able to change the dose amount >30ml easily and the times dosed per day. Being repeatable I should be able to monitor signs of algea and change the dose amount. Consistent small dosing sounds good to me.

what do you think ?

cheers rob
