Turk will have 9 bars and Snakeskin will have 13 vertical stress bars.

snakeskin is a mutation from turquoise, you wont get snakeskins if the turquoise do not have that mutation. if you breed a turk with a snake then you will get some of both.

oh and a lot of the snakeskins are barless, its very easy to tell them apart even without the bars, look some up on the net and pay attention to the pattern on the gills

From my (limited) knowledge, i understand the Snakeskins to have 14 bars and very fine delicate patterns around the mouth, nose and gills.

As for barless I'd have no idea how to confirm them...

i think the first snakeskin was a 9 bar and is recessive, the fourteen bar snake came from the 9 bar snake. the 14 bar is not recessive.
from my cross between a 9 bar leopard and a snakeskin (no bars) i got about 2 or 3 barless fry, about 70% are 9 bar and 30% 14 bar or more.
