Does anyone know of any floating plants that do well and look good for a discus tank?

water sprite is ok and its also managable.

Although i would stay away from most of them anyway ...especially duckweed, the big stuff might be ok but if the little stuff takes hold you will have a heap of maintenace and water issues

Hi Gro,
if you don't mind me asking what water quality issues does duckweed cause? the small stuff is a pain in the A** but giant grows at about 1/2 the speed. I find it great for dropping nitrate, also it takes the burn off my CF's so my anuabis and bolbitus don't get covered in green spot algae.

a friend had some take off to the point there was quite a thick layer - and i was just referring to when there is a thick layer on the top and i thought it may prevent turbulence and thus oxygen exchange

Your proably right mate, i run high CO2 and a near fishless tank so i'm more worried about CO2 level I didn't even think about O2 exchange. Good call
