New tank up and running...

I've finally ditched the reef and gone back to discus.

I'm starting a 110g-tall planted discus tank with RUGF, 30g sump, cannister filter, UV, CO2 system, and Eco-Complete substrate.

I've been running tanks on and on for 20 years, and complteted a sucessful 5 year stretch with SW reef. The reef flourished, but I never felt at home with salt water. The tank is now fully converted over and cycling. I should start planting soon, and stocking with tetras within a couple weeks.

I plan to start with six small (young) discus, probably from an online breeder. I have no idea what types to get.

Yes, I know the area quite well (I have been in LA at once or twice a year for the past 13-15yrs)
