Seachem Prime

I have been using Wardley Tri-Start Water Ager & Conditioner for quite a few years when I do water changes.

When I was up in Sydney a couple of weeks ago, I bought some Seachem Prime because everybody on here seems to use it. And, I can't buy it here.

Before I use it I need to have a couple of questions answered, before I overdose my fish.

1. Is it a water ager like the tri-start. or do I need to add that as well.

2. It says to use 5ml for each 200L. But, if I only put in about 60L of
fresh water, by my calculations that would be about 1ml per 40L.

I am not very good at maths, so does that sound right. I have a 6ft tank around 288Ltrs.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Prime is great stuff. YOu don't need to add anything else. It takes care of chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Yes it is highly concentrated and 1ml per 40 litres is the correct dose but in these times of drought with the water board putting extra doses of chlorine in the water, you can quite safely add double the amount without causing the fish any harm.
