My levels are good (ph 6.5 no ammoia) I even run a power filter with diatom powder for 1-2 hrs after each water change (once a weak)still cant seem to keep it crystal clear can someone help? :?

Get yourself a UV sterilizer. This will blitz water borne algae & bacteria which will help to make the water clear.

Welcome to the forum.

You don't mention that you have filter wool or a sponge in your Fluval.

Could be that the fine particles are just slipping through the course media in your filter. You need some fine media in there as well.

If you want to use peat, then take out the carbon. As the guys said, they cancel each other out.
