venus spot really pale ?

got home tonight and my venus spot was almost white, except for the spots
all my other fish in the tank are fine ?
he is sitting upright on the gravel next to the filter intake and u can see he's not well ? he's not moving at all "but still alive"
i did see some smudge marks on the tank which i think may have been my "BLOODY" dogs nose ! and i'm thinking the fish may be in shock from a fright ? or maybe it scooted off and hit something ? but i cant see any damage ?

any ideas on what to do, or what it could be ?

lights are off and i dont want to disturb it really, it was breathing a bit heavier than normal, but not over the top ? it was fine and eating last night and this morning too ?
