Ionic Systems In-Line Tap De-Toxifier 150,000 Litres - NOW AVAILABLE

As all fishkeepers know, it is necessary to remove chlorine and other impurities from tap water when introducing it to a pond or aquarium. Failure to do this can result in fish health problems and it also adversely affects the growth of benefical bacteria in all filters. The most common method of de-chlorination is to add chemical treatments to break down the chlorine. This method is costly and can require accurate measurement of the amount of water to be treated. The De-Tox de-chlorinator simply connects in-line to a hose pipe with standard hose fittings (supplied). The De-Tox filter removes the toxins in tap water prior to it coming into contact with your fish and filters.

Features

• No messy cartridge changes - just unclip and replace
• Highest grade activated carbon
• 100% fish safe
• Extremely high toxin removal rate
• Simple to use - straight out of the box
• Extremely economical - very low cost per litre of water treated
• Clean and 'no hassle' water changes via hose
• Can be used on a constant trickle feed
• Ideal for first fills

Function

Removes:
• chlorine
• chloramine
• bromine
• malachite green
• many dyes
• colour e.g. humic acids
• organics e.g. proteins
• antibiotics
• hormones
• ozone

Preparation

“Purge” the filter for up to two minutes by opening the tap fully, allowing the exit water to run
straight into a drain. Once the water runs clear, the filter is ready for use.

Installation

The filter can be used horizontally or vertically. Both ends can be used as either inlet or outlet
points. Please observe the maximum flow rate recommended (9 litres per minute) and drain after
use before storage if being used temporarily and not as a permanent trickle. A lower flow rate will
give better results and prolong the life of the product.

Storage

Ensure the filter is kept in a cool, dark place and that the carbon is fully drained. Should the
filter be used as part of a permanent top up system, keep the unit out of direct sunlight or high
temperatures to achieve maximum filter life.

300mm De-Tox unit treats 150,000 litres
(all dependant on water quality and flow rate)

Eden External Nano Canister Filter 501 (http://www.aquariumsuppliesaustralia.com.au/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=2913)

Now Available - Limited stock is due to arrive early next week

The 501 filter has been developed for those fish-keepers that, for reasons of space, cannot keep larger aquariums or use large capacity, high turnover filters.

The performance of the pump, the compact shape and the large number of accessories make it ideal for aquariums up to 60 Litres.

The filter comes complete with intake system, hoses and connecting elbows and with a spray-bar outlet for better surface oxygen exchange at the water surface (or you can use the water diverter which can be oriented as required).

The two filter stages, biological and mechanical, have been carefully calculated and provide a very large surface for the best filter action giving the advantage of a better eco-system.

The filter comes complete with ceramic biological supports and a mechanical fine porosity sponge.

The two chambers can alternatively be used with any preferred media.

The shape and sizes of the filter make it ideal for placing beside or behind the tank.

The pump is based on the extensively tested motor of the Eden’s 106 and provides the ideal performance for the proper function of the filter and for the given size of tank.

The filter is easily primed. Simply open the top cap, fill with water and plug in.

A special internal circuit enables any trapped air to be completely discharged so that the filter will run smoothly and quietly.

Two safety clips avoid accidental opening of the filter head.

If you look closely at the picture there is actually a pre-filter sponge above the bio-media.

also,

The two chambers can alternatively be used with any preferred media.

Personally, I would replace the ceramic rings with Matrix or Ehfi-Substrat Pro and it would be an excellent filter for a small tank.

Over 20 x 6045 Nanostreams arrived and went straight out the door only a week or so back (that is why pre-ordering is crucial as Tunze cannot keep up with demand). New stock will be arriving mid to late April and it looks like they will be sold out prior to arrival as well.

The 240v 6025 and 6055's should be here soon as well once they sort out some technical issues.
