hi all,

Recently i hav a lot little white worm stuff that appears everywhere inside my tank. i even bring some sample to the LFS and show them, and they said it was from tap water !!

i was also told that these things live of waste and uneaten food, but i clean my tank twice a week and water change around 30% each time.

i can see about 8-10 of them per square inch on the bottom of the tank!!

how can i make them disappear????

Hi Billy,

They are most likely a planaria if they are crawling on the glass, or they are most likely oligochaete worms if they swim like a snake. They feed on feces and detritus but generally do the tank no harm. To get rid of them lower the amount of food and increase your water changes to daily until they are gone.

decrease food and also wipe down the glass before you do a few water changes

you will find that it originates from straight out of your tap!

You will find that it fluctaute according to season.

the best way to fix this problem.

install a quality water filter :D
