Scott, try putting some salt in (1teaspoon per 40litres, cooking or rock salt not table) and a couple extra airstones for circulation.. (this helps with nitrite poisoning)

how many bloody fish have you got. you may as well get those two alenquers at Xtreme as well . I'm surprised they're still there. any of your browns reached breeding age ?
hey what about that rose red female ? would go nice with a golden albino (actual golden, not alenquer). Some might even mistake the F2 for Albino RGD's.

(actual golden, not alenquer).

What are you implying Samir?

samir
Mon Apr 30, 2007, 02:19 PM
golden is a mutation from brown. alenquer is a brown. most of the golden albino's are actually alenquer albinos.

there's some golden in here

So if you crossed an alenquer albino to a RGD?

samir
Tue May 01, 2007, 05:30 AM
you'll probably get some alenquer, and some red cover or red rose if any. I think the red fry would have bars and probably visibly brown base. In f2 you may get some red albino fry. Someone like Andrew Soh would have a better idea, I'm still putting pieces together so a lot is just speculation.
Just trying to get Scotty to do some experimental breeding

I do. Alby & I have lots of conversations. About her biting my fingers mostly. Uni runs away when I talk to her. Red comes when I call her too. Good fishies!

Maybe I'll see how yours go then, before I try to convince them again.
