finally the female in spawn mode notice the egg patch !

she goes a bright lemon colour unlike his deep blue green colouring.

hehe cheers samir.

yep chris doing well mate. have spawned a few times now but she egg eats right around hatch time..

finally got them eating HBH pellets instead of just meal worms. She was fine but he took some convincing :)


Chris havent seen you on msn, you still around bud?

heheh yep . These guys are actually passive.

the female strikes at the tank if you go near it but thats as far as it goes in terms of aggression.

ah yes they do like eating tetras. 30 rummy nose gone in 7 days lol

thanks guys,

Taksan just curiuos I noticed allot of the pictures on the net show these guys to have a bright red head. Is that a diffrent variety / colour enhancer or is the red head a sign of a mature old fish?

couldnt catch them, and they have this amazing ability to recognise that the tank has rounded edges yet the nets arent so im afraid they made there own destiny.

fantastic fish though I look forward to having hundreds of them one day. Just maybe not in the same tank :lol: :lol: :lol:

They don't get red mainly blue and green
