Hi All,

I'm about to start this treatment but just wondering will this med have ill effect on Clown Plecos (L104)? I have 4 in the same tank as my discus and also do I have to wash the media after 48 hours. I normally wash my media in tank water but if I'm treating the tank with this med what is the point of washing it. What do you think?

Any help is much appciated.

Apologies in advance if I'm reading this wrong Para, but are you washing your used filter media in the tank ????????

You should be washing it in a bucket of tank water (which you then discard).

Your L104 should be fine, so long as you carefully dissolve the tablets before adding to the tank, and yes, it's very important to rinse your filter media, and I always replace the filter wool after a treatment. A lot of eggs and floating cysts will be caught in the filter, and you need to get rid of them.
