Blyxa Japonica "free"

have a few bunches of Blyxa Japonica to give away
only catch is u have to p/up and i wont post "sorry"
and u really need good lighting and co2

I'd love to take them, but I haven't got my CO2 system in yet. :(

I'm waiting on a quote for fish I've put an EOI in on before spending any more money, and I'd hate to kill those beautiful plants in the meantime.

well no one else seems to want em, so if u want to give em a try no worries.they will still grow without co2, just wont flourish, it's either that or i throw em....

I don't know if I've got enough light though? The tank came with Atman:
10000K 25w super light
15000k 25w tri-power light
10000k 30w super light
and the tank is 2 foot tall, 540L.

Would they live?

Hi DiscusEden,

For a 540L tank you have extreemly low light. I am not sure the light requirements of Blyxa but you might want to check that. Also if you can I would swap out the 15k bulb for one which is a better spectrum for plants. If you had a mix of 10k and 6.5k then that would be better.

I'd be interested in them and have a tank with high light and CO2 but then I'd need you to post which you said you can't do.

Don't suppose you've got a new complete CO2 system, an Orca tank and a T5 light system for a 6 foot tank lying around? (Ha!)

think i'm gonna be after another Co2 system myself soon, bugger this DIY stuff...
ASA is the best place for ur T5's though :)
