Let it rip guys, what does everyone want in their BD's ?

Personally:

1) A clear, deep red coloured eye.
2) No bump on the forehead (which the majority have)
3) A rounded body shape with high fins
4) Fairly clear caudal tail
5) Uniform distribution of colour over the body of the fish.

Obviously, not all these will be observable in juvi sized fish. So in juvis the must haves are:

1) Clear red eye.
2) No forehead bump, with a "high body" shape - NOT a "bulldog" shape.
3) Even colour distribution

Attached are some pics, which have been previously posted on this forum which highlight the ideal BD's for me.

   you can forget about that adult G. you will never get that one.
those fry are pretty normal, a majority of my bd spawns had a shape like that but no red eye.

the bd's did get red eyes for a while when they were on colour bits

I read in one of the books I got off you about colour feeding them before showing for the perfect red eye.

Samir - Are you sure?

I thought that the red eye could be bred into certain strains of BD ?

And yes, no stress bar near the tail (although that is more ocean green).

I'm not sure at all, the only experience I have is with mine. my point, in all this being, one could possibly get a BD, whose eye could turn from red to white, once the colour feeding stops  as with mine, they came with red eyes. I'll put up some pics if I can find any.
