Hi all,

I am just a novice of keeping Discus, I just bought 6 (2.5") Discus & put them in a 180 gallon tank.
As I come approaching the tank to feed them, they seem to be afraid by hiding behind the canister filter, seems like "Stress".
After I left, I sneak around & found them eating altogether but when I am approaching again they are running & hiding.

Maybe, there are some tips how to make Discus feel comfortable.
Anyway the tank position is in the middle above the ground.

hi Dahilentik and welcome to DF. I would give them time to settle into there new environment and to new keeper.

My discus were very shy the first 3 weeks, now they know I am their sugar daddy they spot me from 4 meters away (coming out of the shower in the morning) and they rush to the side of the tank greeting me ... they want ... food ! Healthy and unstressed discus are always hungry
