hmmm, when the time comes to fish the discus out you might be in for bit of a cat and mouse game ;)

i guess it could work.... you would just have to feed very well and keep up the water changes to make sure the discus go ok.

you will need to move the discus out once they hit like 4cm anyway because 20 discus + 100 angels + 120L tank = very squished lol.

Well I'd say it would be like having 20 kids sleeping in the same room.

I definantly wouldnt reccomend it, even if its for a few months. in terms of life span, a few months to us would be the same as a few years to a fish i believe so it definantely wouldnt be ideal.

I would even go as far as saying it is cruel.

No NO NO..........one of the larger discus (apparantly the boss of the lot) made it known to the 5 angels i put in that they were not wanted and killed 2 of them instantly. I tried with 5 of them , just in case. So the answer is NO deal here.

So all the latest angels, 12 days old, have now been removed from the parents (some 200 of them, i lost count) and placed in their own 90 liter tank. Happy as Larry in there. But no room for discus breeding now, not much luck with that one at the moment.

You've done a great job getting the parents to rear them Jim.

Well done :salute

Thanks M.

I do spend too much time with them, but heh they are worth it.. if only i could get my discus to breed.

I noticed a long 50mm, thin white (worm) foreigner in my angel tank this morning. thin with a head i think, worm????? i only feed them dry food and ofcourse they had a fair amount of brine shrimp when babs were in with them.

Can angels get worms???? Should i use some Sykes de-wormer for 48 hours???

I dont want to upset their breeding pattern, afterall they are doing so well

Cheers.

Jim, edit button should still be there. Did you scroll over far enough?

Yes, angels can get worms, in fact all fish can get them.

Worming them will upset the spawning pattern, but after the next batch, you might like to give them a rest anyway. That would be a good time to worm them.
