Funky Angels - I think

Some pictures of my angels.

Funky bought as Blue Ghosts. At first I thought they were deformed when young as I didn't look closely enough either at the shop or when I first got them home. I was concerned about the red patch.

Now I believe that this actually means they have a double dose of the stripeless gene and it colours over with age.





Yes my glass is dirty - and the flash brings out more yellow rather than blue - they are in a tank with no light to grow up.

Clean that glass! and those are strange angles, never seen anything like that before.

they were sold to me as blue saphires

they are also known as pinoys (from the phillipine blue gene)

the red is just their gills, don't stress

they look good. all the best with them

There is another picture of angels bought as blushing sapphires on another forum for sale - and like yours they show the black markings through the body, mine never show any stripes at all.

It was claimed that that made them probably not blushing - but I have seen plenty of pictures with blushing and minor striping.

I also have a definite pair of silver sapphires - they have laid twice - once ate at free swimming, second time ate straight overnight.
