how much do you feed?
i have seen many posts about feeding but i was hopeing to get a few extra questions answered
How many grams of food do you feed per fish? (we will need an indication of fish lenght to compare eating habits correctly) i have heard of people feeding what they can eat in 5 min but how much food is that?
how often do you feed these servings?

When I am working they get fed 2-3 times a day (depending on what shift I am on)
On days off, 3-5 small feeds per day... (small pinch of food, varied each time)
or for the main meal (evening) 1 x Bloodworm cube and a pinch of ColorBits.

The way i do it is just feed a very small amount and continue too till some dont seem intrested anymore or less enthusiastic.
I do this probably 2-3 times a day, more on weekends.

i feed a lot of small meals each day. in one tank i have 6 adult discus which get a cube of blood worms, a cube of brine shrimp and a spirulina wafer for breakfast. then i feed about 5 cubes of beefheart for the rest of the day....one at a time, every couple of hours. i also throw in a good pinch of dried granule food after each w/c.
in my other tank with juvies, they get the same variety just a bit less cuase they can't eat it all

Don't forget defrost the worms and drain the water before weighing.

Hey,
Hmm.... isn't it dangerous to overfeed your discus? I read sometimes overfeeding sometimes make their stomach painful.
These usually happen too goldfish too
Good Blessings to all,
