You mean what is the least amount of water per fish?
Per adult fish it is recommended 10gals of water. Normally i use this for young fish aswell as it gives them the same to move.
Most breeders keep their pairs in 29gals of water, just because if you have seen a 20gal tank it is a bit unfair on the fish.

seriously 10-15gal per adult
but i would try to keep 4-6 bubs together just for thier well being (they like to shoal)
so you need a 40-60gal tank mimimum IMO
but when they are bigger, and breeding you can go for something a little smaller. just a pair in a BB tank with a cone (and MAYBE a feature plant)
