    Thanks for Clearing my Doubts?

Hei ur first pics helped me a lot because I just had a pair of discus laying eggs in my community tank and I was really confused about the male because he had a small tube sticking out too.I was thinking I had two females and was little bit upset. Your pics helped me a lot.I am now positive that I have a proven pair. I seperated the pair to a 29 gal tank where they had spawned twice but both times they ate the eggs. I heard that its usual that discus eat their eggs. They lay eggs like every 5 days apart.Hopefully next once would show me some luck!!

Can anyone explain to me the diffference between male and female breeding tubes? I can't see the difference.

    Thanks,
    Alex

The female breeding tube is round, like a straw. It has a blunt end, sort of cut off square (once again, think of the straw).

The male breeding tube is "V" shaped and shorter than the female's tube.
Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P
