    vho's

Ive never had VHO's before and the tank I have now came with them and its time for me to pick up a new bulb. I have 3 in there, 2 4ft whites and 1 5ft blue (I use this for dawn/dusk lighting). Its time to change out on of the whites, but I dont know what kind of bulb to get! I have amazon swords in my tank so I need to keep them happy.

    Any suggestions on specific brand/model

    Thanks!

I would probably consider these for a planted tank http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/...d1=1843;pcid2= although I don't know how the 6500K would look with the blue (I'm guessing actinics). The 10000K look really nice with the blue, common in marine aquariums. Somebody else will have to chime in on how well plants respond to 10000K though. 10000K can be found here http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/...d1=1843;pcid2=

Oh! thanks for the links, Ive never ordered from big al's and didnt think I needed anymore stuff, but Ive managed to have an overflowling shopping cart.

The blue's arent on all the time, just to phase in and phase out the regular lights. Ill post on plantedtank as well and see what those crazy people have to say
