starting from the ground up
Just got the tank i want to have discus in 125 gallon 6ft.long 22inches high 18 inches wide the more water volume the better i have never had discus but did have saltwater tanks and a reef at one time. i have a wet to dry filter that i got for my reef 2yrs ago never used it. would this be a filter i could possibly use also for a canister i have had a lot of luck with the magnum 350 pro 60 set up on salt water also have a couple of the emperor 400s in my work shop are these a possibility for the discus tank any info would be greatly apperciated

As a general rule, I would like to see a turnover of about 3 times the volume of water per hour. If you can work out how much turnover you can get with these filters, it will give a start point.
