UV Steriliser
Firstly id like to say hello and thank everyone that makes this awesome site possible
I am a long time reader of the forums but have never posted before..
I had a question regarding UV Steriliser's, i am planning on getting a 6X2X2 tank in the near future and wanted to know if a 16W inline unit
will be enough to do the job..
Any suggestion would be great!
Cheers

Welcome to DF.com
Personally for that sized tank, I would be using a 25w or 36w unit.
On the same sized tank I use a 36w and I have not had a single problem with fish health or free particle algae ever since.

Ahh okay.. Will do!
Also was wondering what to do for Substrate, thinking of going for a moderate to heavily planted tank.. Was told to use river sand?
Lots of Swords, Val, Java moss and ferns!!

For a 6X2X2 tank 16W wont be enough.
Go for bigger Watt like Pro suggested, 36W.
