Red ruby is a "strain" name which I am uncertain and not fond of. I know of a Thai farm that has a strain called "Siam Ruby". We do not get our fish from Thailand and as such do not have the exclusivity of using that name.
I hava also heard of certain breeders calling a variation of red spotted greens called "Red ruby".
Red Panda is a Jack Watley name. Again, if you do not buy fish direct from Jack Watley, u cannot and should not use that name.
A similar looking fish to the "Red Panda" are what some call 'Pearl Pigeons'. I occasionally import Pearl pigeons when they are available. Usually the pearl pigeons come in at 3inch and above.... I much prefer to buy them larger as the quality/patterning is assured. We do not hormone feed our young fish to induce colour at small sizes.
My advice to you is to put up a picture of something similar of what you are after. Too many names of the same fish and it's getting too complicated.... Each farm has their own strain name of the same fish to sort of try and maintain some exclusivity to their strain.

no appologies required...
A picture is a thousand words. So put up a pic (or a link to a picture) and we can see exactly what you are after.
Makes it easy for us to help you look for what you are searching for.

"Red Dragon" eh?
Exotic Discus have this picture up as "Red Dragon"
http://www.exoticdiscus.com/catalogue-RedDragon.html#
Bayfish farms in QLD have this picture as "Red Dragon"
http://www.bayfish.com.au/reddrag.jpg
Universal discus have this pictures as "Red Dragon"
http://www.universaldiscus.com/newfishht/RedDragon3.htm
Again, which fish would you like to be called "Red Dragon"?
Exotic discus's picture of Red dragon looks very similar to what I would call a Red Truquoise
Bayfish farms and Universal discus "Red Dragons" are both pigeons... and IMO not very flash pigeons. Either way, if those are what you are after, I have your fish... LARGE at 14cm and cheap too!
Give me a link to a picture of a fish you are looking for. Never mind the marketing fancy name.

Yes, I have a couple of 4" fish strikingly similar to the fish pictured.... I just simply call them Red Turquoise!! These came from a bunch of interestingly patterned "red Turqs" that I selected sometime back.
I COULD pick these interestingly marked fish and start making up interesting names for them..... but I can't be bothered (How does "checkered hippos" sound like? ).
Have 20 or so 7-8cm fish with more zig-zagged patterns, all from the same spawn and u can see that the patterning has a particular similiarity between all these fish, and was sold these as "Checkerboards" so will pass them on as Checkerboards.
