    Black substrate compatible discus

Any one care to list discus that will retain their color on tahitian moon sand, or at least all be pretty? This will be a heavily planted tank so most of the bottom will eventually be green.

If you are using dark substrate just avoid pigeon based discus as they will develop black peppering. Red turks, blue diamonds, cobalts, rose red etc will be ok. Things like red melon, yellows, pigeons etc could be a problem. So, anything that has stress bars or blue diamonds will be fine. Some of the Stendker pigeon based fish are very clean and could work. I was under the impression that moon sand increases your pH, so check on that.
