    Thumbs up Wavemaker vs airstone

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone out there uses a wave maker instead of an airstone?
I'm sure both have there pros and cons. Would like your opinions.
I have discus too so bear that in mind.
    Thanks

Interesting idea. I imagine oxygen is more likely to increase if the surface tension is broken, so I suspect the air stone is better.

I use them in my planted tank, never had an issue with them.
    pros
    quieter
great ripple effect if your using LED lighting
    no splash
helps circulate the water around the aquarium

    cons
a little pricier then an air pump
blows food everywhere at feeding time
breaking the surface tension vs agitating it would provide better gas exchange.
