Blue Rams Laid Eggs
So on the 30th of December I added a pair of german blue rams to my tank.
Looking at the digging in my substrate they've been doing in the last week I noticed one of them guarding a little batch of eggs in the substrate.
A bit exciting, and totally unexpected.
The only other tank mate is a sole rummy nose tetra.
tank specs: 23l fluval edge
ADA Amazonia substrate

Well done, they are a fun little fish, and watching the parents herd their fry around is fascinating. How about some photos?

Unfortunately I did a really shabby job cleaning the front glass last time I did a water change, and their eggs are down in the front left corner, they've dug out a little groove, so I don't want to disturb them.
they are a beautiful little fish, keep them unsuccessfully once before, hoping these guys do better!
as soon as I see more than a little pile of white eggs I will make an update!
