    DIY canister filter

    It doesn't get any easier than this!



    It's a long clip so you can skip ahead throughout depending on your level of experience, but wow super simple to build.

    I wish i knew about this clip a few years ago when i was breeding a lot of fish!

    just a personal note, i would use hydroten (clay balls used in hydroponics) as media. it's less than $50 for 50ltrs and great filter media for canisters and sumps. just make sure you clean it VERY well before use

    +1 for hydroponics
    This stuff works just as well as matrix in my sumps and as eheim substrate pro in my canisters just wash it first
