    36W Pondmaster UV Filter

    Hey Guys,

I'm after some honest opinions, I'm running a 5 ft with a 2217 filter connected to the 36W Pondmaster. The Pondmaster is running 24 hours a day. The 2217 is being replaced with a 2080 and I'm questioning whether I really need the Pondmaster running at all.

So the choices I have is connect it to the 2080 and continue with it running 24 hours, connect it but put the UV on a timer and run it for a few hours a day, or disconnect it and save some money.

The tank is no where near stocked, 1 pair of discus and 4 sub adults running around with some driftwood and sand. The 2217 has always kept the tank stable just thought it was time to upgrade to the 2080.

    Cheers
    Rob

I had a the 2180 thermo,no uv at on standard 5ft without any problems other than crystal clear water.Wish I still had it. It was the best filter I owned. My water was stable,my tank was 300lt so only ever changed 100ltr once a week.
