    Quartz silica sand

    Hi,as per title is this the same as silica sand & does it affect the ph value.

    Yes, you'll probably get a lot of muck if it hasn't been already washed. You'll know as soon as you start if it needs it.

    Thanks Nev,I'll sive it first-then wash it,it's pool filter sand which I no needs washing.I just don't feel like spending half my Sunday washing sand.But I guess the end result will b worth it.Thanks again.
