    choosing a plant for a ground cover

    hi everyone does anyone have any ideas on a good plant to use for growing close to the ground like grass i was thinking of Lilaeopsis what do you think

    depending on your trmp dwarf chain sword might be better lilaeopsis never seems to like temps over 26C in my tanks.

    Glosso is nice of you have the light i find it easier to grow then HC

    thanks for that i will have to see what that looks like i have strong light so glosso might be the go

    My Glosso goes crazy under higher light, high temp might effect it though as ILLUSN says. Mine has only been grown up to 26C so I don't know what happens after that.

    Dwarf hairgrass looks good too. It can take a while to establish but looks great once it's going. Mine stays about 50mm without need for trimming.

    Alternatively if you're prepared to trim it occassionally, both Stauro' Tropica and Limnophila sp Mini Vietnam can be made into an effective carpet.
