sick discus
Hi, just joined and sorry to start off with a post here but I am worried about my discus, have had it for over a year and the last to days I have noticed that it has gone dark and is hanging around the air bubbles. still eating ok,now and again it sort of darts right next to things no new fish or any thing into tank. I had one before this and it did the same things then died.
thanks Lorri

hanging near the air bubles could mean 2 things,
1 the gills arnt functioning propperly and he's having trouble getting oxygen
2 somthiong is irritating its skin and the bubbles scratch the itch.
the darting has me worried, do you see excess slime or white poo?
is the fish scratching or rubbing against other fish or objects?

Go to pets warehouse and grab some fluke and tapeworm tablets (Praziquantel).. Your wont find cheaper!
You need to does your tank about 3 times 7 days apart (correct me if I'm wrong) so make sure you get enough for that. 1 tablet does 20L and there are 25 tablets per bottle
L066
Assorted small fish
6x2x2 Aqua One

as stated above
http://pets1.com.au/Fluke-and-Tapewo...lets-25pk.html
gill flukes are stubborn and hatch at diffrent rates depending on temp i'd treat 3x once every 5 days just to be safe (@ 30C i treat my tanks every 3-4 days for 3x total)
