    Rena Xp4 Thoughts ?

    Peoples opinions on them ? Rena XP4

    I have bought one , but i will be still using my 2217 as well

    Hi Tommo I have been running rena xp 4 on my discus tank for a little over a year .i havent had any problems with it at all .

    No Tommo but no canister ever does ...... figure about half whatever they state when the canister is full of media.
    Some brands (Eheim pros) do better ...some (fluvals) do worse. I think the Rena's are on the higher side ....
    Rena is owned by the Mars family now BTW ....as in Mars bars.

    Indeed Matty , i was hoping that for an answer , "like yep the flow is great ,or indeed they have a high flow output"

    Either way i am sure it will do the job along with my 2217 , on a 5x2x2 i am sure both of them will be enough for my plants /fish . I am also thinkn seems i want a fair bit of flow and have a AM1000 reactor ,if i need to i might get an Eheim pump on the reactor only

    P.S Matty ...what are you and red doing with the 7 foot huge tank ?

    I heard he was getting a murray cod, so he had an excuse for getting an even larger tank.
