    Hi all

Recently ordered some new fish (german imports) and they will be ready for me to pick up this friday

    Pelvicachromis Taeniatus " nigeria red " 4-6cm.

    Apistogramma Nijsseni "german bred" lg.

Also I may be too tempted to buy these guys as well

The alacrina you'll love, the nijsseni you will find quite pushy (aggressive) and a specie I no longer have. The Taeniatus " nigeria red are my favourite krib and the steindachneri are an easy to keep and breed apisto, the largest of all the Apistos and when mature can produce spawns of surprising size. Ocassionally you'll find one that develops a distinct blue sheen across the body - lovely. I would love to keep them again.

    take care

I like your choices - especially the Apistogramma "Rotpunkt" (being as highly unlikely that the described fish for Alacrina is the actual one that we keep in the aquarium so I heard......)

Steindechneri is a bit overrated IMO - save your tank for the next species.....

Mine too. I would love to get hold of a pair of these. Kribs were the very first fish I bred as a teenager, many years ago. I'll always have a soft spot for kribs.

    Hi

I shall post some pics over the w/e.

They are looking great , and the female has really coloured up in the belly.
They are constantly courting each other lately so Im hoping a spawn is not too far away.

    cheers

    Wow, they're good looking fish.

Now just play them some mood music, give them a nice romantic candlelit dinner, and we might get somewhere :P:P:P:P

Beautiful pair Wayne. They look so much better than your everyday overbred colourless pulcher.
