i dosed my fish with metro in the liquid form last night at the reccommended dosage on this site.

now one discus is dead, four are lying flat on the tank bottom close to dead, the rest are all either really pale or really dark and dont seem to be able to avoid objects in their path while swimming.

moved them back into theirmain tank (they were in a hosp tank) which i was gonna do a minor clean on while the fish were out of the way. fingers crossed and now i gotta get through uni b4 i see the outcome.

and i also lost my rams

WOULD EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM PLEASE STOP USING LIQUID METRO!!

LIQUID METRO WILL KILL YOUR FISH!!

Use metro only in tablet or powder form.

I wish someone would please advise the vets before any more fish are lost.
Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P

metro in liquid form is toxic to fish, as the absorbtion rate is to high and it destroys the liver and kidneys. Metro for fish is best in water soluble powder form at a rate of 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gallons or 160 litres over a 10 day period with no water changes. If you feel the need to do a water change, just replace the portion of metro removed.
