Thanks Steve.
Yeah swampy, getting the dregs isnt fun. You should have asked when they will get a new shipment? Have you tried slippery little suckers in Kinsington? I have not been yet - planning on going shortly. I hear they have a big selection.

Hi Robyn,
One is a spotted Leopard, the other is Turq (on a green sheen body) and the other is an orange spotted leopard sold to me as the 'harder to get' golden leopard.
I have since got a Cobolt and an Albino Alenqer.

Blue Diamond Discus
Hi Aaron,
I just dropped through there since I was in Sydney at the time so I was happy to get what I did. It's settled in nicely.
Thanks for the heads up about the shop. I did a search and found there website - looks good. I'll definately get there to have a look. I'll put the website link up if anyone else would like to see it.
Thanks.
Brad

Aaron, you've scored some nice fish but you seem to have a lot of issues with Discus shops in Sydney and you vehemently criticise them. Have you given a second to think that you may have a personal problem with them?
Mate, you have condemned Sydney Discus World for the last year and now you are condemning JMS right after purchasing some nice "Golden Leopards"- http://www.discusforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20361. I just don't get it.
If you don't like them anymore, give them to me.
I regularly buy my Discus from Sydney Discus World Aquariums and will solemnly vouch that all of the Discus purchased from them have had no problems at all. I have a mixture of Juvies, adults and jumbo-sized Discus from them. Nick is always friendly and courteous and gives me worming solution, free plants and help when needed.
I advise everyone out there to go to the various Discus shops in Australia and get a first hand idea of the stock out there. I'm sure every Discus retailer has a few sick/unhealthy fish at any given time- they are living creatures like us, after all!

I went into JMS today and was blown away at the variety and the prices of the discus. Pity I don't have the money at the moment, but I will definitely be buying some discus from there. Very healthy, bright looking fish. I have been to quite a few Discus specialist shops all around Sydney, and I must say that JMS definitely is the pick of the bunch as far as quality and pricing goes.

I agree. I regularly drive up from Wollongong to use SDS. I've never had a prob' yet. Nick's customer service is excellent!
I've visited JMS (and purchased from there) as well as SLS. The guy at SLS didn't stop talking up his fish long enough for me to ask a question. Add that to his RIDICULOUS prices and he's not the shop for me.
At the end of the day, everyone's opinion and experiences are different and you have to buy from whom ever you're comfortable with but it's great to get an idea of the different shops out there.
