spawning horozontally

well these discus r spawn crazy.

this is their 2nd spawn for both pairs. about 8 days tween spawns.

the 1st time the red (melons?) got the heater (then vertical) and the turks got the filter.

this time the turk got the heater again, but since the male turk is still too sick to spawn the red (melon?) male thought he'd step in and give it a go. and funny enough the female turk let him !

not that i worry too much, the red (melon) male allways fertilizes the eggs, takes turns with the female blowing and fanning the eggs for about 8hrs then gets bored and eats the eggs. so there is no chance of cross breeding.

and now 2 days after the turk got her 2nd spawn, the red (melon?) female obviously desperate to find a spawn place chose the only other option........... a horozontal heater.

so the pair of reds are spawning horozontally ! which is weird cos i thought they could only do it vertically.
