Have some questions about breeding

Do they only breed 2x a year?
Is it oky to have 1 pleco in the tank while they are breeding.
What is better for breeding discus gravel on the bottom or no gravel on the bottom.
Do I drop methalon blue right when they lay eggs or before when they are cleaning the surface area.
Is a 30 gallon tank good enough?
Should have keep the light on in the morning before I leave to work?
The temperature is set at 85F is that good enough
My ph lvl is at 6.8 Should I go lower than that?
Is it better to have sponge filter or should i use my canister filter?

I have a pair but I want to breed my female with a different discus can i force them to pair up by putting them into a single tank by themselfs?

I this good for them to breed? I can't seem trigger them to breed for some reason. They only like to swim back and forth O.O I have a clay vase in there, sponge filter and that's about it. I even try to lower the temp by water change, rain water, and even stop the temp and increasing it. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not time for them to breed again?
