    Hi from Ipswich QLD

    Hi all,
I am keeper of discus since 2005 starting slowly with 2 fish and building from there. I currently have a 300 litre display tank stocked with
    1 x 14cm Red Turq male
    1x 14cm Blue Penang Explosion
    1x 12 Ruby Red
    1x 10cm Golden Dream
    1x 7cm White diamond
    1x 18cm Common Pleco
    1x 20cm Black Ghost Knife
Tank is filled with live bamboo(great for high cover), hollow logs, rocks and gravel base.
Also have smaller tank with a elephant nose fish (fascinating).

We'd love to see some pictures of your tanks, especially the display one if you have time.

    Hello BLINO.

I also live in Walloon, I have a pair of F1 "some things" RSG's and one wild caught green male from Peru. I don't use the town water here, tank is much better but it has to be adjusted up for the Ph.

Welcome to the site, there is seriously months of reading here.

    Fish from Squid

    Hey Bud.

My new fish are very similar to the ones in your pic. The pic of the pair was taken within a few days of introducing them to my small system.

The second pic is of course the Wild boy from Peru.

Lastly, well done on your research about where I got them, or did Squid tell you or there could be a third option I haven't picked up on, but well done if you remembered a previous post of mine.

    Regards

    Mick.

    G'day Bud.

    That was a quick reply!!

Seems like my attachments didn't work either. Bugger.

Looks like your fish are very similar, more than likely you're right about them being from the same batch.

The three fish from Squid were adults and I'm not sure how old they are either. I'd like to get a few years out of them and would love to see some babies.

I'm only interested in wilds and would love to get more of them on the market for others to have and of course some compensation for set up and runinng costs.

    Regards

    Mick

very nice........... i keep the stronger strains as well, so much easier.
have a couple heckel cross turqs.........tefe crosses from squid and some rose reds...........the tank bred strains dont seem to be as resiliant i find.
I head out to toowoomba every now and then, might have to drop in have a beer and talk fish...............lol
