Water changing - does this sound ok?

    Hey,

I'm currently planning out my main tank and I've been looking at water changes. My product water tank should hold approx 50 gallons and my tank holds 164 gallons.

I plan to begin filling the product tank straight after the previous water change so it can get to temp, aerate etc. I'd like to change 50 gallons (approx) three times a week. Does this sound ok? Or is it too much, or to little? The tank will be planted and well filtered.

Hopefully I'll be able to set up a system to allow one of the externals to remove the water and then a pump to get the new water in. Should be plain sailing...lol

    Cheers

    Ideal.

I wanted to make sure that it would be sufficient for the Discus before I made anymore plans. I would have done it with a siphon and bucket if need be but I've come up with a water changing system that should do it for me (kind of) while I deal with the tank, cleaning etc.

    Thanks mate
