    Wanted: Melbourne Apisto Lovers

I would like to hear from anyone in the Greater Melbourne region who has an interest in Apistogramma / Dwarf Cichlids with a veiw of establising a group dedicated to the species. This Special Interest Group (SIG) would be alighned with a local aquatic club / society. The aims of the group would be to maintain as many species as possible in the Melbourne region / to foster the appreciation and education of the species / trade experience & information / mentor those new to the species etc. If you would like to be involved in an initial and informal gathering to discuss such please contact............

    Pity you're in Melbourne.

Get in touch with Bubbles, she's one of your locals.

    Cheers.

The Victorian Cichlid Society caters for cichlids of all types. A few of the members are Apistogramma specialist and are well connected to the industry so they are always upfront in whether something has hit the shores or are available again, etc.

    We need more

It would be great to see an active Apistogramma society here in Melbourne.

As with us all, finding quality stock to rejuvenate our personal fish diversity and our own interests is none the less hard.

Hopefully well see some great shots of wild Apistogramma after your trip.

My Apistogramma spp. are gibbiceps, macmasteri, juruensis, borelli opal, bitaeniata, elizabethae, iniridae, baenschi 'inka 50' and hongsloi.

btw Hassles here is a pic of your male you gave me.
