Anubia releasing bubbles

I've had this anubia for a while. Started off in a different tank, on a different piece of driftwood.

The piece of driftwood it now attached to, has been in the 7ft tank since set up, several months ago. A few months back, I removed the anubia from it's old driftwood & tied it onto the piece in 7ft tank.

Ever since, it was been releasing a constant stream of tiny bubbles.

Anyone know why it would do this & if it is harmful to the discus?

its called pearling.
its a very good thing
the plant is releasing oxygen into the water
not harmful to your discus at all

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think this is pearling.
It is just one section of the anubia which releases a steady stream of tiny bubles that rise to the water surface. It never seems to stop.

The pearling I've seen in the past were little bubbles that covered the plants surface???

the bubbles dont have to come from every leaf
but what you have described is pearling
when you turn the lights off tonight wait a little while and it will stop.
the bubbles can cover the surface of the plant or rise to the surface, either way its the same thing.

I think goldenpigeon is right - sounds like pearling...

do the bubbles come from a torn or damaged part of a leaf? Because if they do I think that's quite normal...

i would guess damaged part of plant leaking the gas
as suggested by rwel

either way not a problem as it is just respired gas escaping

means your plant is photsynthesizing at a rate which super saturates the water with O2!!!!! i got a planted tank that looks like a glass of champane after a few hours, i get worried when my plants stop streaming bubbles.

It did stop when lights were out, so I guesss you are all correct & I can stop worrying about mysterious toxins being released by evil anubia LOL

I can't see damage, but bubles rise from 1 or 2 distinct points on this one particular anubia's rhizome.

How can I encourage the rest of my plants to pearl?

Up the C02 bubble rate???

Upping the CO2 will do it my "champane" tank runs at about 30ppm of CO2 (it only has rainbows in it) obviously you already have plenty of light
