    Earthworms in the diet

    Hi all

I have heard varied reports on the use of earthworms as part of a discus' diet. Has anyone ever tried this and what are your experiences and thoughts?

Earthworms are an excellent supplement to the diet of discus, or just about any fish large enough to swallow them.

    Nothing could be more natural.

Just make sure they are dug from a clean area, free of pesticides. Keep them in damp newspaper for 24 hours so they purge the sand from their gut, then chop to size, and feed.
Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P
