    new to this

    hi everyone im new to this site,,just wondering when i do a water change do i just put cold or warm water back in to tank..i have 3 red scribbles in a 45 gal tank..cheers ...duncan

    The water you add back needs to be the same temperature as what is it in the tank.

    welcome to the forum duncan.

    all depense on the water quality,are the parameter the same then in the tank?
    a few oC difference is ok when you do a small WC even cold water is ok but when you do a 50% the temp. schould be not under 25,also important when you do WC and the temp in the tank falls dont feed them before the temp is up otherwise they can get constipated
