That picture is a bit old, crypts and HC are gone, some of the stem plants have been replaced with other stems, I can get a picture probably tomorrow.

I think he'll be doing gravel vacs frequently for the next week. The HOB filter did a good job, quite a bit less of the little buggers in the water now. He changed out the floss, it was quite dirty.

Thanks for the replies. So, cut down on the feeding. Will running the HOB filter stuffed with floss help 'catch' them?

My boy has a 75 gallon discus tank with 7 discus in it, and one small motoro (I think) stingray. He's been treating the tank with 'Pemifix' and 'Melafix' (again, I think that's how they're spelled)...

That's what we did, but without the bleach. So far so good. If it happens again, it'll be cleaned with bleach. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the replies! My boy has taken out the XP2 (gonna sell it to me!), and put in a few plastic plants and a couple of pieces of driftwood. Hopefully those changes will make the discus more...

My boy is getting a bacteria bloom in the water he prepares for doing water changes for his 75 gallon discus tank, and was wondering if anyone had any idea's as to what is going on. We've got a 32...

Thanks for the replies! It's a completely bare tank. Bare bottom, no rocks, driftwood, or plants. My boy has done a bunch of reading, and from what he's found he feels that the best way to care for...
