2 main causes in my experience. Poor water quality and/or vibration. I'd look at these issues first.

Does your digital camera have a macro mode? If so you will be able to take clearer close up pics which will hopefully make diagnosis easier.

You could have up to 12 but I'd recommend getting 9. Better to be a little conservative. Also leaves you with a bit of extra space for some tetras, rams, catfish etc.

Wisteria and ambulia will burn/melt at those temps.
IMO Anuabis grow too slowly and tend to get covered in algae.

I'd try to get close up pics to give people an idea of the quality of the fish you have. At the moment I can't really see how good they are. People may be more willing to make the drive if they can...

Let them get used to each other first. If they lay eggs maybe twice in the community tank they will start to establish a better bond and will be less likely to cause issues when raising fry.

Not sure what you mean G. Did you mean to say there is ammonia already present in the tap water used for the wc? If so, that's certainly worth checking the ammonia level of the water before adding it...
