Hey ppl,
5 of the discus in my 3ft tank have clamped fins and have become very dark. The water parameters are as follows:

Severums are amazonian, they are closely related to Uaru which like discus, feed their fry from mucus secretions. So yes they would be closely related. ...

Thanks, the substrate is 3mm gold gravel, with a layer of iron rich clay on the bottom. The plants are val, which you can see up the back, swords which all came from one original plant and 2 peices...

Hey Billy,
IME you will only need a 25mm bulkhead. I have a sump setup doing 4000 lph, and a 25mm bulkhead handles it fine.

Today I went to an aquarium and bought 10 discus! They had 30% off, so i scored 5 BD's (good useage of abbreviation?) and 5 PB's (again good useage?) for only $35 each. They are an ok size to.

For my 6*2*2 i have a sump setup. Its a 3ft tank, cost me $50. The pump, which does 4000 lph, was around $120. The medium was $10 (scoria from landscape supply place) and $5 worth of filter wool....

You could always add 3 more discus. In a group of 6 bullying will be minamised, if not eradicated all together.
