i'm not sure about what kind of meds that need to be administered here. But i do know you can add a heavy dose of salt to the tank as a general tonic though.

the fish is a turqoise, looks like a red turqoise i believe. I'm not in australia or i'd get it. you could run an ad in aqua bid, or aquaauctions.

40 gallon tanks IMO are the optimol size. the demintions, i don't know, but it is tall.

wow, you really got some rabbits their. lol once the fry go free swimming, they will feed on the parents slime coat for about another 3-4 days, after that i introduce BBS (baby brine shrimp\artemia)...

breeding tanks can be anywhere from 20 gallons to 120 gallons, really it doesn't matter, the fish will breed fine, but i find that 40 gallons work great for that. as far as the growout tanks, thats...

if water is setting in the hose long enough (about 24 hours or so) then it can be.
